Welcome to The College Center (TCC), Lexington District One’s early college program in partnership with Midlands Technical College. TCC empowers driven, motivated students to complete their high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously for FREE.

A Full-Day Experience: You'll attend our 4-year program (8:55 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.) at the North Lake Community Learning Center alongside motivated peers from all five high schools in Lexington County School District One.

Jumpstart Your Future: Start as a 9th grader and earn up to 60 transferable college credits, saving thousands in future university tuition.
Class of 2031: Your Journey Starts This Fall! Applications for the 2027–28 academic year open this October! TCC representatives will be visiting middle schools across Lexington District One this fall to meet prospective students and answer questions."

An educator for over 15 years, Justin Wingard began his career in 2012 as a mathematics teacher at Edisto High School in Orangeburg Consolidated School District Four. He moved to Palmetto High School in Anderson Consolidated School District One in 2014, where he served as a math teacher, digital innovation facilitator, and the 2016–2017 District Teacher of the Year.
In 2018, he joined Houston Independent School District’s Lamar High School as a mathematics teacher. He went on to serve as the campus coordinator for professional development and induction program for teachers, earning Campus Teacher of the Year honors in 2020-2021.
He then transitioned to South Houston High School in Pasadena Independent School District, serving as technology campus content specialist from 2021 to 2022 and assistant principal from 2022 to 2024. Prior to stepping into his current role as Director of TCC, he served as South Houston High School’s Dean of Instruction for Early College from 2024 to 2026.
